I’ve tried many vegan protein powders and this is by far the only one that doesn’t sit heavy in my stomach. It is so clean and not sweetened with any artificial or chemical sugars which is so hard to find on the market. The vanilla flavor is not overpowering or too sweet and the texture isn’t chalky like most powders. Also, packaging is so cute and the fact that they got stocked in Pop Up Grocer for a bit is validation enough. Couldn’t recommend it enough!

Meet the Founder

I couldn't find a plant protein that agreed with me and had ingredients I truly trusted. Every option seemed packed with fillers, artificial flavors, or sweeteners that just weren't for me.

I was tired of protein powders that left me feeling bloated and had a mile long list of artificial ingredients I didn't recognize.

So, I started making my own.

What began with me grinding hemp hearts in my kitchen turned into Plonty, a clean, delicious plant protein made with thoughtfully chosen ingredients and nothing I didn't feel good about.

Today, I'm so excited to share the recipe that started it all. I hope Plonty becomes a simple, nourishing part of your everyday routine.

I originally bought Plonty for my 11-year-old son, who plays basketball and flag football. We were looking for a recovery powder that could help him get more protein and support muscle growth, but I was hesitant to give him a traditional protein powder because so many are filled with ingredients and additives I didn’t feel great about.

Plonty immediately stood out because it has just five simple ingredients that I can actually read and pronounce. We started by simply mixing it with water after practices and games, then tried it with milk. Eventually, I started using it myself as part of my own health journey and got a little more adventurous, adding it to smoothies and even baking it into muffins.

And the taste is actually really good. I’ve had some disgusting protein supplements over the years, and this is absolutely not that! The flavor is mild and pleasant enough that my very picky son actually likes it, which says a lot.

It does take a little patience when mixing (you want to add it slowly to your liquid) but once you get the hang of it, it’s an easy addition to our routine.

What I appreciate most is the simplicity. When you’re consuming something regularly, especially when you’re giving it to your child, I want to know what’s actually in it. Plonty gives us an easy way to add more protein with peace of mind.

It tastes good, works for our whole family, and has become a staple in our house. And as an added bonus, I love supporting a woman-owned brand. Highly recommend!
